Stitched

“What if they spot it?”

“Codswallop! It’s a perfect match.” The needle in Roy’s hand flashed.

Ron glanced from the bearer bonds to the pouch in Roy’s hands. Security stitching was a tough challenge for a seamster, but Roy was the best.

“How much longer?”

“Done!” Roy stretched his fingers.

The stitching was identical.

Tucking the pouch under his apron, Ron left the basement. Snagging two pints, he headed towards the mark.

“There y’are, sir, two pints of our finest”

With all eyes on the drinks, Ron slid the pouch discreetly back into Sir William’s satchel.

He smiled. Another successful stitch-up.
